The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service has announced plans to purchase consumer pack whole turkeys, bulk pack turkeys, turkey roasts, and turkey hams for school lunch and other domestic feeding programs. Consumer pack whole turkey, turkey roasts, and turkey hams are for preparation and consumption in present forms by recipients. Bulk packed turkey will be purchased for delivery to a processor and is for conversion in accordance with contracts with recipients. Bids are being accepted every first and third Monday of each month until program requirements are met.
