USSOCOM will issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for waterproof weapons bags and radio bags. These bags will be used in a maritime environment. Items requested include LARGE Weapons Bags (USIA part nr. 4000W3 or equal), quantity: 74; SMALL Weapons Bags (USIA part nr. 3000W3 or equal) quantity: 62; Radio Bags (with liner) (USIA part nr. 6000RB or equal) quantity: 42. LARGE Weapons Bag will be a water-proof bag constructed of 420 Denier urethane coated Pac-cloth, equipped with air, gas, and water tight zippers and with an oral inflator, and must accommodate an M-16 and M60. SMALL Weapons Bag will be a water-proof bag constructed of 420 denier urethane coated Pac-cloth equipped with air, gas, and water tight zipper, and and oral inflator (size: 32x5x15), and will be a shoot-through bag with attached glove. Radio Bag (with liner) will be a water proof bag constructed of 420 denier urethane coated pac-cloth equipped with air, gas, and water tight zipper, and an oral inflator. Commercial procedures as outlined in FAR Part 12 are applicable. Commerce Business Daily Note 1 applies. The Request for Quotation will be issued on 06 August 1998. The closing time and date for this RFQ is 1200, Tuesday, 18 August 1998. Facsimile quotes are acceptable. Facsimile quotes are subject to the same rules as paper quotes. Anticipated award date is Tuesday, 25 August 1998. This notice is a request for competitive quotations.
