Crowther, Contracting Officer; Telephone: 612/370-2115 The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), Cotton Division (CD) intends to acquire up to 50 high volume instrumentation (HVI) systems for delivery to various AMS, CD facilities nationwide. HVI systems measure the physical properties of cotton fibers. This is a sole source acquisition. A contract will be negotiated and awarded to Zellweger Uster, Knoxville, Tennessee for the HVI systems and maintenance. A firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. Delivery shall be 180 calendar days from the effective date of the contract, f.o.b. destination. Delivery locations are throughout the U.S. Cotton Belt.
