The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to purchase nine (9) Expendable Conductivity/Temperature/Depth (XCTD) probes for the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratories (AOML) in Miami, Florida. The XCTD probe contains a conductivity cell, a thermistor, electronics, and a BT wire link to the surface. The Government intends to purchase these probes from Sippican Corporation, the manufacturer of the probes. The Government knows of no other source capable of providing the XCTD probes. The intended acquisition is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253 (c)1. The Government will accept offers from any qualified source capable of supplying the items. The probes will be delivered to AOML on an FOB Destination basis. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified probes, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for some businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided the item. No response will be provided to inquiries who fail to supply the requested information.
