38 -- PORTABLE TRAILER MOUNTED ROCK CRUSHER, KALAUPAPA NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, MOLOKAI, HAWAII SOL 1443RQ8000-98-033 POC Theresa Fisher (415) 427-1331 Jaw type unit. Must accept rock of 6" average size. Adjustable jaws for different size product down to 3/8". Production range between 25 to 50 tons per hour dependent on rock being fed. Crusher to be equipped with plate feeder and hopper. Equipped with under-conveyer approx. 30" wide by 12' long or sized to meet mfg. requirements. Unit to have all required electrical motors sized by mfg. to operate feeder plate, under-conveyor, and jaws. Motors to be sized to allow for most efficient operation. New or refurbished Catterpillar brand or equal type generator unit. Unit to be sized in accordance with mfg. recommendations for this application. Estimated size is 45 K.W. If a refurbished generator unit is supplied it is to have the same warranty as a new unit. Generator unit will be trailer mounted to make it portable. Trailer to be equipped with ball type or pindle type hitch. Factory built rock crusher and generator as self-contained unit is acceptable. Generator unit must be diesel powered. Furnish all electrical panels and wiring for a complete operating system for the generator and rock crusher units. All electrical equipment must be water tight and sealed for outdoor application and corrosion from salt air. Rock crusher to be mounted on a 2-axle trailer with drawbar. Brakes and lights may be required for transportation of unit prior to delivery. Crusher unit must be capable of being transported in 1 trailer. Unit(s) must be painted with high quality rust resistant equipment type paint to prevent corrosion from the salt air. One gallon of touch up paint for each color used to be furnished with unit. This equipment is considered to be a commercial item, as defined in FAR 2.101. Award will be made on the basis of "best value" to the quoter who the Government determines can best furnish the requirement.
