This is an amendment to the combined synopsis/solicitation published 21 July 1998 in the Commerce Business Daily. This amendment is published to announce revisions in required quantity, delivery locations, small business set-aside status, and deadline for submission of quotations. This combined synopsis/solicitation is for eighty-three (83) each Scully Kit, Oshkosh R-11 (Overfill Prevention) Retrofit Systems, Scully Part Number 07311. Delivery must be made on or about 28 September 1998 as follows: 13 systems to Mountain Home AFB ID 83648-5414, 4 systems to Beale AFB CA 95903-1716, 6 systems to Cannon AFB NM 88103-5320, 10 systems to Minot AFB ND 58705-5350, 21 systems to Shaw AFB SC 29152-5125, 6 systems to Barksdale AFB LA 71110-2284, 4 systems to Dyess AFB TX 79607-1793, 6 systems to Whiteman AFB MO, and 13 systems to Holloman AFB NM 88330. As a result of the increased quantity required, this acquisition is no longer reserved exclusively for small business concerns. The small business size standard and FAR provision 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside, therefore, no longer apply. The deadline for submission of quotations is 4:30pm Eastern Standard Time, 19 August 1998. The Air Force intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Anticipated award date is 21 August 1998. All remaining requirements, terms, and conditions remain as stated in the original combined synopsis/solicitation dated 21 July 1998.
