G. Bachstein, marianne.g.bachstein1@jsc.nasa.gov. NASA/Johnson Space
Center is interested in obtaining a study on a no-cost basis for the
enhancement of the on-orbit electrical storage capability and capacity
for the International Space Station. The current electrical storage
for ISS is Single Pressure Vessel, nickel hydrogen batteries. The
future battery technologies that appear to have promise as a
replacement for the current batteries are both Lithium-ion or lithium
Polymer. NASA is interested in any other new technologies that may also
be available in the 2004 time frame. Companies interested in providing
a study of a technology or design for the space and ground based
equipment to accomplish this purpose at no cost to the ISS program
should contact: Sid Clinton ISSPO NASA, Johnson Space Center 2101 NASA
