The Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC) intends to negotiate the award of a modification to Contract DLA900-93-D-0011 on a sole source basis with ITT Research Institute (IITRI). Subject modification will extend the period of performance an additional twelve (12) months from October 1, 1998 to September 30, 1999, and is necessary to allow sufficient time to conduct a fully competitive award for a follow contract. Contract DLA900-93-D-0011 is for the operation of the Guidance and Control Information Analysis Center (GACIAC). The GACIAC is responsible for the dissemination and exchange of technical information related to the guidance and control of weapons. This technical information includes, but is not limited to: sensors/seekers, signature management, signal processing, countermeasures/counter-countermeasures, test and evaluation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The weapon systems covered by the GACIAC include, but are not limited to: Direct Fire Systems, TOW, Dragon, JAVELIN, LOSAT, STAFF, Aircraft-Launched, Hellfire, AMRAAM, LONGBOW, MMW Maverick, Indirect Fire Systems, Copperhead, NLOS, SADARM, BAT, Mines, WAM, and AHM. DSCC believes that IITRI is the only source capable of meeting all of the Government's minimum requirements for this effort.
