CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR
INSTRUMENTATION POWER SUPPLIES FOR F18. Companies shall acknowledge all
amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official
amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be
issued. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions
submitted. 1. The power supplies will be in a open environment. The
maximum altitude requirement is 100,000 feet. 2. The cooling method
used for these power supplies will be forced air at approx. 40 lpm
(cubic ft/min divided by orfice area in sq/ft). 3. A few examples, of
what parts of the Mil requirements in effect for the power supplies,
are: Mil-e-5272c : Temp:Procedure II,viz.;Temp-Altitude:Procedure
I(100,000ft),viz,; Temp-Shock:Procedure I,viz.; Humidity:Procedure I
(240 hrs )viz.; Salt Spray:Fed Std 151, method 811, Procedure I viz.
Mil-Std-461b : EMI/RFI: Test Method Mil-Std-462viz.,Limit CE03,NOTICE
1,3;Limit CE04,NOTICE 4;Limit RE02,NOTICE 1,3,4,;Mil-1-16910c,Paragraph
3.6.1 and 3.6.2 and Mil-1-6181d,Paragraph 4.3.4.1.1 viz. Mil-E-5400H:
Vibration fiqure 5 curve 1.,and Shock class 1,light weight,type B. The
environmental environment of the power supplies will be extreme. The
due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide
the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA
Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 7/15/98. Documents related to
this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft
Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and reside
on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW
