Harris, (415) 427-1332 The work of this contract consists of construction of a 3,190 square foot museum collection storage building located near the Cow Creek maintenance complex at Death Valley National Park, Inyo County, California. The structure is a one-story, wood-framed building over a cast in place concrete foundation and concrete slab with stucco siding and preformed metal roof, including all site work and connections to existing utilities. The price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. This procurement is open to both large and small businesses. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17.0 million. This procurement will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer represents the "best value" to the Government. The best value determination will be made on the basis of (1) the acceptability of the offer; (2) the capability (e.g., experience and past performance) of the offeror; and (3) price reasonableness. The Government will assess the capability of the offeror on the basis of (1) its organizational experience; (2) its organizational past performance; (3) its qualifications and experience of key personnel; and (4) its demonstrated ability to comply with instructions. The Government considers the relative imprtance of an offeror's capability to be approximately equal to its price. THE SITE VISIT IS SCUEDULED ON SEPTEMBER 9, 1998 with participants to meet at the Cow Creek Maintenance Office at 9:00 AM.
