Officer, (256) 955-1187 The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command
(SMDC) is involved in the planning, testing and acquisition of
Department of Defense and Ballistic Missile Defense Organization weapon
systems. The planning and acquisition of SMDC programs requires
engineering studies and evaluations regarding site selection and
analysis, environmental documentation, investigations and remediations,
real property management and installation environmental oversight. This
effort will ensure that SMDC research and development programs address
the environmental requirements set forth in the National Environmental
Policy Act (NEPA), Council on Environmental Quality Regulations (40 CFR
Part 1500), Department of Defense (DOD) Directive 6050.1, and other
environmental laws and regulations. This effort will also address
studies, master planning and investigations associated with SMDC
facilities engineering requirements. This effort will support the
preparation of environmental documentation and undertake remediation
and technicalanalysis IAW AR 200-1. Provide environmental documentation
and technical analysis IAW AR 200-2. Provide all information management
and scientific and technical evaluations necessary to perform
comprehensive siting analysis for various elements of SMDC. Provide
engineering studies, investigations, and other services as appropriate.
This acquisition is not open to foreign prime or subcontractor
participation. The Standard Industrial Code Applicable to this effort
is 8731, the Small Business size standard is 1000. Firms responding are
requested to identify whether they are small business, small
disadvantaged business, educational institution, other nonprofit
organization, or large business. Interested firms should submit written
qualifications to SMDC-CM-CT/Genna Wooten. Requests must be received in
this office within fifteen (15) days from publication of this
