A -- SYSTEMS AND WARHEADS LETHAL MECHANISM AND EFFECTS SUPPORT SOL DAAH01-98-R-R024 DUE 101598 POC Brenda Showalter, Contract Specialist, 256-876-8761, Harold Smith, Contracting Officer, 256-876-0908 This synopsis announces a Request for Proposal (RFP) for support to meet mission requirements of the Systems and Warheads Function, Propulsion and Structures Directorate, Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (MRDEC), U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM). Mission requirements to be supported shall consist of warhead design, development, analysis, modeling, production, test and evaluation for missile systems, integration of lethal mechanisms on systems to include anti-armor, air defense, Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT), hypervelocity and other technology test bed demonstrations in support of the AMCOM mission, fusing support in the areas of electronic and mechanical safe and arm devices and target detection systems for missile systems. This requirement will be issued as a COMPETITIVE SMALL BUSINESS SETASIDE. A Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (Level-of-Effort) type contract is contemplated as a result of this solicitation. The solicitation will include provisions for restricting Organizational Conflicts of Interest. Estimated release date of the RFP is on or about 082898.
