synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. The proposed contract action is
for supplies for which the government intends to solicit with only one
source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability
to respond to the requirement or submit a quotation. This notice of
intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all
quotations received within 5 business days after the date of
publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A
determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
government. Information received will normally be considered solely for
the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular97-04.
This procurement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. Both
large and small businesses may submit offers. Line Item 0001, Qty.
12ea. Dock Boxes. Salient Characteristics: 2ea. adjustable pull-out
trays, 1000 lbs. Capacity @ 100% extension, 1ea. 84" x 17" high open
shelf on backside, 1ea. Roll-up door, steel curtain slats, counter
balanced for easy manual push-up, improved door stops, padlock hasp for
security, back and sides, side-to-side kit, 2ea. Support hooks for
rings, 4ea. Threaded holes on top for lifting, 2ea. 1/8" rubber mats
for shelves. Must supply 2 sets of 4ea. Bolts at no charge. Finish is
factory standard finish. Color must be Classic Blue. Mfr: Proper
Storage Systems, Part Number: DR1000LC84X42-2-93SBTD. Line Item 0002,
Qty. 10ea. Rolling Ladder Platform. Salient Characteristics: Aluminum,
4ea. Steps, 40" to top step, base is 34" x 36", platform is 30" x 16",
grit strut steps, 2" casters, spring loaded, rubbertipped legs, one
piece aluminum weldment, weight approximately 34 lbs. Finish is factory
standard, unpainted aluminum. Mfr: The Ladder Man, P/N: 4S-40H.
Delivery to Dyess AFB, TX shall be no later than Sep 20th, 1998. The
provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial,
applies to this acquisition. Only written offers will be accepted.
Bidders must specify business size, cage code, duns number, and tax-ID
number in their quote. You must be registered, or in the processing of
registering, in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to bid on
this solicitation. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation --
Commercial, applies to this acquisition and the evaluation criteria in
paragraph (a) of the provision shall consist of, in descending order
of importance: (i) technical capability of the products and services
offered to meet the government's requirements; (ii) price: and (iii)
transportation costs. FOB point is to be determined by the contractor.
