It is the intention of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to the manufacturer, Marine Development Corp. P O Box 15299, Richmond, VA 23227-0699 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Marine Development Corp. is the manufacturer of SHIPALT YP 0676-00077 issued by Naval Sea Systems Command on 08/11/97 and the source of engineering plans and calculations furnished to Naval Sea Systems Command as part of the system development contract. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
