(301)757-4802 N62477-97-C-3041, The work includes construction of an approximately 153' x 97' x 10' deep (interior dimensions) reinforced concrete, open-grated hover pit with baffles and turning vanes underneath to exhaust aircraft engine gasses, with taxiway apron and incidental related work. The hover pit will be used to effect high power aircraft engine runs while aircraft are tied down to the structure. The solicitation may provide for procurement of some of the work, initially (base proposal), and portions as options. If options are utilized, any option work the Government elects to exercise will be awarded either at the time of initial award or within 90 days of award. This solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) and will be awarded as a firm fixed-price contract. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Do not call for additional technical information. The only site visit is scheduled for 02 September 1998 at 10:00 AM. No appointment necessary. Date for receipt of bids is scheduled for 18 September 1998 at 10:00 AM. Plans and specifications will become available on 17 August 1998. There is a $15.00 non-refundable fee for plans and specifications made payable to the Treasurer of the United States of America.
