Officer, 202-324-3718 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),
Firearms Training Unit, intends to modify the existing contract for
Firearms Instructors to add a requirement for Government-directed
reimbursable travel, housing and per diem for locations other than
Quantico at a distance exceeding 50 miles. This notice of intent is not
a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received
within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis
will be considered by the Government. Information received will be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a
competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to
compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to
this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The
requirement will be added to the base year and four additional option
years of 10 multiple award contracts awarded October 21, 1997, for
Firearms instructors to provide instruction at the FBI Academy located
in Quantico, Virginia. Interested persons may identify their interest
and capability to respond by submitting a proposal to include their
pricing, interest and technical capabilities in providing travel,
housing and per diem, and any other information to the Contracting
Officer stated above. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is
8999. The Size standard is $5.0 million. Award of a modification is
