S -- LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE CHARGING STATION, BUILDING 2014 AND NITROGEN PADDING SERVICE IN BOILER PLANT EXPANSION TANKS, BUILDINGS 3152 AND 3292, FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON SOL DAKF57-98-Q-0227 DUE 083098 POC Contract Specialist Nancy Gary 206-967-2151 ext 207 (Site Code DAKF57) Principal items to accomplish: Provide and install a Carbon Dioxide (CO2) dispensing tank unit with a two (2) ton minimum holding capacity. Deliver and mount the CO2 dispensing tank on the existing concrete slab at the Fort Lewis main Fire Station, Building 2014. Government will accept a nice and cleaned leakproof used tank; Provide and install a five (5) horsepower (hp) pump-motor unit. Deliver and mount the pump-motor unit adjacent to or on the existing concrete slab; Provide and install electrical hookup of pump with existing power supply and connection of pump-motor unit with CO2 dispensing tank. Provide and install CO2 supply lines and valve connections, from outside building into the Fire Extinguisher Charge Room, through existing penetrations in building. All components shall be protected from corrosion and other outside elements; Provide and replenish dispensing tank CO2 and maintain all installed equipment in operable and clean condition; Provide rental service of nitrogen to replace existing nitrogen padding in boiler plant expansion tanks; Calibrate Government- owned regulators and safety devices at each tank location; The contractor shall respond to equipment breakdown within seventy-two (72) hours after the first notification call and complete repairs to include replacement within fourteen (14) calendar days after the initial breakdown notification; Other work necessary to accomplish the above items. May be a multiple award. Contract period consists of Base Period (1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999) and one year option period. The proposed procurement listed here is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns.
