COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 24,1998 PSA#2144SP -- NASA JOHNSON SPACE CENTER "INSPECTION 98" OPEN HOUSE FOR BUSINESS
AND UNIVERSITY LEADERS The NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas
is offering business professionals a behind the scenes look at the
home of human space flight. To be held October 14 -- 16, Inspection 98
will give guests the opportunity to closely inspect the technologies
and programs responsible for sending humans into space. The event will
focus on NASA-derived technologies and how they may benefit businesses
and organizations here on Earth. Inspection 98 guests will have the
opportunity to meet one-on-one with engineers and scientists from a
variety of disciplines. JSC works with technologies in a wide range of
fields, from instrumentation to planetary sciences and from medical
sciences to the design and operation of spacecraft. Businesses that can
benefit from the event include those in information technology, energy,
aerospace, biotechnology, robotics, environment, medicine,
transportation, training, manufacturing, consulting, and agriculture.
Technology transfer forums will be held each day. For more information
