solicitation but a market survey for an electronic ordering system. The
Global Air Traffic Operations Mobility Command and Control Systems
Program Office, Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base,
Massachusetts is considering the acquisition of a system which would
allow Government customers to browse the Global Air Traffic Management
I and eventually II Product Catalogues offering via the Internet.
Specific features and functions of the system: Web access to system
features using popular browsers, back-end system integration,
comprehensive user enrollment and registration (validation of new
users, authorization and verification of existing users and management
of user privileges). Fully-searchable database of product and pricing
information (multimedia-capable) via product catalog with the
following features: Search and browse product information, compare
competing products, product configuration, detailed product information
and inventory. Secure Order Entry and Submission: Ability to mark line
items for ordering, save and retrieve partial or complete orders for
later action, route order for approval, submission of order to back-end
order entry system, order acknowledgment and confirmation and order
status tracking. Security capabilities: Authentication (Uses encrypted
user ID's/passwords and supports client and server certificates to
prevent impersonation at either end of the communication); Integrity
(Recognizes and correctscorrupted data); Encryption (Uses open
standards such as SSL to preventunauthorized users from viewing data or
hijacking a session); Access Controls (Uses a security group structure
within applications to controlfunctionality user by user). The
ordering systems should have a high level of interoperability; must
integrate with existing and future industry standards such as HTTP,
JAVA, NSAPI and ISAPI. Interested firms should include the company
name, address, CAGE code, a point of contact, size of business (i.e.
large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)
concern, small women-owned business); foreign or US owned. Submit
