CONTRACT INFORMATION: The proposed services will be obtained by a
negotiated Firm Fixed Price Contract. The project is expected to start
in August 1998 and be completed in September 1998. The estimated
contract price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Significant
emphasis will be placed on the A/E=s quality control procedures as the
District will not review quality into the project. 2. PROJECT
INFORMATION: Project consists of performing a technical study of
existing conditions at several District lake site package wastewater
treatment plants that are old and underutilized and recommending and
detailing a replacement solution with associated cost. All work must
conform to State of Kentucky requirements for permitting and design of
wastewater treatment facilities. 3. SELECTION CRITERIA: See Note 24
for general A-E selection process. The selection criteria are listed
below in descending order of importance. Selection will be based on
information provided in most recent SF254 only: a. Disciplines required
are civil, sanitary, mechanical and electrical. A designer and checker
in each field of engineering are necessary with at least one in each
field professionally registered. b. Experience with sewage collection,
treatment, disposal and permitting is required. c. Past performance on
DOD and other contracts with respect to quality of work and compliance
with performance schedules. 4. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: NO SF 255's
ARE REQUIRED, See Note 24 for additional information concerning general
submission requirements. Firms desiring consideration are invited to
submit 1 copy of an updated and accurate SF 254 (11/92 edition). A
current SF 254 is also required for all subconsultants. Firms
submitting SF 254 by the close of business on the 10th calendar day
after this announcement will be considered for the work. The day
following this CBD announcement counts as day number 1. If the closing
day is a Saturday, Sunday or federal holiday deadline is moved to end
of next federal work day. Additionally,all responding firms which do
not have a current (within the past 12 months) SF 254 on file with the
North Pacific Division, Corps of Engineers, must also furnish a
completed SF 254. No other general notification to firms under
consideration for this work will be made and no future action is
required. This is not a Request for Proposal. Solicitation packages are
not provided for A-E contracts. Personal visits for the purpose of
