and assistance services in support of the Office of Solid Waste and
Emergency Response is facilitating the Government's conduct of national
and international technology transfer activities. This includes the
issuance of analytical reports pertaining to technology transfer
activities. These activities include: the issuance of anaytical reports
pertaining to technologies and technology based information related to
hazardous waste response, characterization, or clean-up actions; Field
analytical monitoring and measurement; The facilitation of technology
demonstrations; The delivery of technical and programmatic training;
and, The conduct/delivery of other technology transfer activities
including seminars, formal meetings, electronic bulletin boards,
information bulletins, and the OSWER Exhibits program. It is the
Government's intent to award one cost-plus-fixed fee, level of effort
contract. The contract period of performance shall be for a two year
base period with a one, one year option. The contract will have an
estimated total level-of-effort of 110,000 professional and technical
hours for the base period and 55,000 hours for the option period.
Alternate proposals will not be accepted. Request for Proposal
PR-HQ-98-13111 was released on 07/15/98. The proposal due date has been
extended 15 days. The revised due date has been changed from 08/17/98
to 09/01/98. The SIC is 8999. The purpose of the CBD announcement is to
notify potential offerors of EPA's requirement, generate the source
list, and to direct interested parties to the EPA's "Doing business
with EPA" Internet World Wide Web site at http://www.epa.gov/oam for
further information on this procurement as it becomes available. The
RFP, amendments and other related items for this procurement will be
posted on this Web site and can be downloaded/viewed. Interested
