Emergency STAT specimen anytime, including weekends and holidays. Contractor shall be accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) or the Joint Commission; or be under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 and continue to maintain accreditation/license for the period of this contract. No subcontracting will be allowed. Test results on STAT within 4 hours from pick up and routine specimens within 48 hours from pickup. A chartable copy in triplicate within 48 hours from pickup. Adequately preserve all specimens during transportation to include dry ice storage whenever it is necessary to keep the temperature below -50 centigrade. Retain sufficient quantity of each specimen for seven days. Contractor to provide a consultation service staffed with qualified personnel such as a pathologist, or technical representative.
