An OMB Circular A-76 cost study of Operations Support services at Maxwell Air Force Base (MAFB), Montgomery, Alabama was announced in Congress in April 1998. General functional areas included in the study are Communications, Civil Engineering, Services, Mission Support Squadron (Personnel), Maintenance (transient alert), Supply, Transportation, Logistics Support and Operations Support. In support of the study, MAFB will hold the first Operational Support Services Industry Information Exchange meeting on Wednesday, 5 August 1998, from 0730 -- 1630 (CDT). The meeting will be held in the Joe L. Reed Acadome Banquet Room, Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama. This initial industry session is open to all those interested parties that respond to this CBD announcement and confirm reservations with the point of contract below. The purpose of this first industry day is to share market research gathered on, but not limited to, strategic sourcing trends, requirements consolidation, performance management and types and use of metrics. Briefings on the MAFB Business Strategy will also be presented. An opportunity to discuss requirements consolidation will be provided in the afternoon.
