The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment required to construct the filter backwash spray system piping replacement. The work includes the following: (a) Replace existing 4-inch surface wash water (BW) line with new type 316 stainless steel line, inside the four existing filters. (b) Refurbish existing S type filter surface wash water agitator arm. New nozzles with nozzle caps shall be provided. Type and size of nozzles shall match existing. (c) Refurbish the 16 existing underwater light fixtures. Provide new gaskets and repair as required to ensure no leaking. (d) Provide all necessary structural and electrical changes to accomplish the above. (e) The existing water treatment plant shall remain in operation during the construction period. Temporary facilities may be required to keep the facility operating with minimum amount of disruption. Maximum shutdown period during construction is 24 hours. This is a firm fixed price contract.
