FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a synopsis for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the form in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The RFQ with all details and the statement of work will be available at the walk-thru. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-47 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 7629 and the business size standard is $5 million. The agency need is for a base year and three options for preventive and corrective maintenance on twelve (12) different pieces of computer operated machine tools located at SIMA San Diego. THERE WILL BE A SITE VISIT ON JULY 30 AT 12:30 PM; ALL CONTRACTORS WISHING TO BID ARE REQUESTED TO ATTEND THE WALK-THRU. The equipment included on this contract will include the following: 1) vertical machine center, MFG Acroloc; 2) lathe, MFG Bullard; 3) lathe, MFG Cincinnati; 4) horizontal jig bore, MFG DeVlieg; 5) lathe, MFG Gildemeister; 6) lathe, Mfg. Hardinge; 7) horizontal boring mil, MFG Kearney & Trecker; 8) lathe, MFG LeBlond; 9) lathe, Llodge & Shipley; 10) horizontal boring mil, MFG San Rocco; 11) vertical mil, MFG Tree; 12) vertical mil, MFG Wells Index. All of this equipment has a computer controlling it, which will also be maintained on this contract. All other information necessary for bidding will be provided during the walk-thru or in the RFQ. All qualified small businesses may submit a bid. The government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the government considering technical qualification, past performance, price and price related factors. To be determined technically acceptable, the offeror must furnish product literature that demonstrates the products offered and providing documentation of your technical capabilities.
