Management, (BLM), California Desert District, California, has a
requirement for a consultant/Contractor to conduct a field survey and
inventory principal, alternative, and interim routes for the Back
Country Discovery Trail System. The consultant/Contractor shall prepare
items required to be in the Nomination Package as identified in the
"California Back Country Discovery Trails: An Element of the California
Statewide Motorized Trail System" trail strategy guide. Generally,
these items are: 1) prepare a general description of the route(s)
including trail conditions, 2) describe how the proposed route(s) meets
or supports specific criterion, 3) prepare maps, map overlays, color
photographs depicting route and the resources found, and 4) discuss and
describe effect of the trail. The period of performance to complete all
work associated with this project is 240 days after notification to
proceed. Additional time may be required should the optional line item
for an environmental assessment be exercised. All responsible sources
may submit an offer which will be considered. The solicitation will be
