MODIFICATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS DUE 081798 POC Edward L. Askew, Contract
Specialist, AMSAM-AC-RD-BB, (256)876-5376; Marcia Tully, Contracting
Officer Information is being sought on the availability of corporate
experience in the engineering area of investigation, development,
design, fabrication, assembly, installation, integration, checkout,
verification, correction, preparation, and operation of ARTS/SIMSTAR
Hybrid Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Simulation Systems including
Advanced Real-Time Simulation (ARTS) Language, Advanced Continuous
Simulation Language (ACSL), Parallel Simulation Processors (PSP),
SIMSTATION Data Collection Processors, Electronic Signal Allocators
(ESA), Logic Signal Allocators (LSA), Digital Parallel Multiprocessor
Low Cost Host Computers and Function Generator Processors (FGPs). The
proposed contract effort would be performed at the U.S. Army Aviation
and Missile Command Advanced Simulation Center (ASC). The proposed
contract effort shall include all necessary technical skills and
services to support ASC Hybrid HWIL Laboratory and Imaging Infrared
Simulation (IIR) System 1 simulation improvements, modifications,
integration and operations. This shall include designing, developing,
supplying and/or modifying the SIMSTAR and digital Parallel
Multiprocessor Low Cost Host (LCH) simulation processor systems,
subsystems, and components to provide processor capability to meet
expanding weapon simulation requirements. Necessary hardware/software
interfaces shall be developed to facilitate the integration of these
items with flight or breadboard hardware to make a complete real-time
ARTS/SIMSTAR HWIL simulation system. Simulation operations shall
include modification, preparation, correction, checkout, test,
operation, and documentation of Hybrid HWIL/IIR systems for
real-time/hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) weapon simulation applications.
The proposed contract will require a minimum Full-time Resident Staff
which will consist of two senior project engineers with analog, hybrid
or digital system design and programming experience in real-time
systems which includes 5 years Fortran, 5 years ACSL, 5 years ARTS, and
5 years SIMSTAR, two project engineers with real-time system design and
programming experience which includes 3 years Fortran, 3 years ACSL, 3
years ARTS and 3 years SIMSTAR, one senior engineer with real-time
system design and programming experience which includes 2 years
Fortran, 2 years ACSL, and 2 years SIMSTAR, three senior technicians
with a minimum of 5 years experience in the servicing of equipment in
the ASC Hybrid HWIL/IIR, or a similar ARTS/SIMSTAR HWIL facility and a
facility manager with a minimum of 5 years management experience in
the servicing of equipment in the ASC Hybrid HWIL/IIR or similar
ARTS/SIMSTAR HWIL facility. (a) The contractor must provide
verification of the required experience specified above. (b) The ASC
HYBRID HWIL Laboratory and IIIRSS 1 are operated as secure classified
facilities. (c) A tour and/or briefing is possible if prospective
respondents will submit a suitable security clearance for each company
representative. (d) This information is being sought for future
acquisition planning purposes and contractor participation in this
