Z -- REPAIR OF TWO BOILERS SOL DAHA13-98-B-0002 DUE 081098 POC Contract Specialist: SPC Jason Kelly, (515)-252-4616. Contractor shall furnish all labor and material necessary to repair two boilers located at the 132 FW, IA ANG, Bldg 100, 3100 McKinley Ave., Des Moines, IA 50131-1902. The Contractor shall: replace all tubes in each of two Kewanee boilers with 3" 10 guage grade SA178 tubes and properly dispose of old tubes from premises. Clean water side of boiler tube and crown sheets. Perform a dye penetrant test on tube sheets and hydrostatic test at 80% maximum allowable working pressure. Work is to be performed in accordance with Section IV of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The Contractor shall: replace the lower 15" of mudleg on 165HP Kewanee boilers with 3/8" thick SA285 Grade C boiler plate with new staybolts in first row. Include installing cleanouts on all four corners of new mudleg with 2" 3000# forged steel couplings. Pour new firebox floor with light weight castable refractory. Remove burner prior to installation of new mudleg and reinstall. Perform a hydrostatic test and authorized inspection. Properly dispose of all scrap material from premises.
