The Joint STARS Program Office plans to acquire, from Northrop Grumman Corporation, services to modify the three (3) delivered TMSSs. The modifications are required to meet the following new requirements: (a) the ability to support the Satellite Communication and Constant Source databases on the E-8C; (b) the ability to support Electronic Flyaway Kit and Electronic Target Folders on the E-8C; (c) the ability to replicate E-8C Removable Transportable Memory Modules (RTMMs) more rapidly; (d) the ability to operate using 20 ampere (A) wall power in United States and abroad; and (e) the ability to deploy with one of three predefined TMSS configurations depending on the operational need. Along with hardware modifications/additions to the current TMSS configuration, Northrop Grumman Corporation's services will also be needed to update all the existing TMSS documentation to include the aforementioned new requirements. The anticipated award date for this effort is 15 August 1998. The TMSS modifications must be complete by 31 December 1998.
