Proposed sole source contract to purchase a final quantity of KG-40A Electronic Key Generator equipment from General Technologies Corp. (GTC), Tampa, FL. The KG-40 cryptographic equipment is highly specialized half-duplex digital key generators capable of operating at data frame rates between 45BPS and 9600 BPS and has undergone specialized certification by National Security Agency (NSA). The contractor will fabricate, test and deliver the specific equipment in accordance with documentation currently applicable under on-going KG-40A acquisitions. Equipment to be procured includes 250 KG-40A serial and parallel cryptographic units and associated mounts and remote control units.
