The U.S. Army Industrial Operations is conducting market research to determine the availability of existing commercial items which meet the Governments needs in place of the Time Blasting Fuse M700 made to the requirements of military specification MIL-F-45144, Type I. It is used in military demolitions to ignite non-electric blasting caps. The time blasting fuse M700 has a diameter of .2 ins. and the length is 500 feet coil. The burning rate is 36 to 44 seconds per foot. Hazard classified "Fuze, Safety UN 0105" 1.4S in the following package. The current package is 4000 ft per wood box consisting of 10, 50 ft coils per metal can and 8 metal per box. Six wood boxes per wood pallet with a size of 45.5 inches X 35 inches. Boxes packed to a height of 36 inches on the pallets. The fuse is a security risk category IV item.
