Kelley, Contracting Officer, Code 215000E, (805) 989-1943 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA intends to enter into negotiations and award of an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N68936-98-G-0051 on a sole source basis with GEC-Marconi Avionics, Incorporated, Norcross, Georgia. The order will be for the retrofit of one hundred sixty-two (162) 53-020-03 DSDCs to the 53-020-04 configuration. GEC-Marconi is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the DSDC. Specific software design specifications, algorithms, source code, hardware components, expertise and production processes are proprietary to GEC-Marconi. As the developer of these systems and support equipment, GEC-Marconi has proprietary information unavailable to other contractors.
