E-MAIL: janhdam@dscp.dla.mil, janhdam@dscp.dla.mil. This is a request for information. Defense Supply Center Philadelphia intends to buy a Medical Supplement to the Unitized Group Ration. This supplement is to be used orally by individuals with maxillo-facial injuries. The critical components of the Medical Supplement Ration are Dental Liquid Diet powders, individual servings, packaged in trilaminate pouches, consisting of dehydrated entrees, soups, starches, vegetables and beverages in pouches ranging from 25 to 100 gm per pouch. Examples of dental liquid diet powders are apple brown betty, creamed corn and potatoes, ham and cheese souffle, chicken barbecue, green bean casserole, dairyshakes, etc... There is a total of 39 variety of flavors. Dental Liquid Diet powders are performance specification items. In addition to the dental liquid diet powders packaged in pouches, there are additional components that are packaged in cans, bags and packets. All the above items should have a shelf life of 18 months. The estimated minimum quantity of dental liquiddiet powders is 15,000 pouches, or 400 pouches per variety of flavor. The delivery schedules for the Medical Supplements will be determined at a later date.
