The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award additional cost reimbursable (CPFF) spare modules, components and parts under existing Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) II/III Contract N00019-97-C-0114, on a sole source basis to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), located at 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01910-0445. This Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) requirement includes various spare parts to support aircraft carrier flight operations, ground support, and depot level maintenance for F414-GE-400 engines. GEAE is original manufacturer, and only known source, possessing the requisite knowledge, experience, special tooling, and technical capability required to provide the required F414-GE-400 spares.
