Offers IN RESPONSE TO THE SOLICITATION, WHEN ISSUED, may be submitted for a single task, or for multiple tasks. Currently, the following Tasks are anticipated: #1-Test for Internal Noise; #2-Flow Solution for Advanced Separate Flow Nozzles; #3-MGB Jet Noise Code Domain Definitions; #4-PhysicsBased Flow Solution (DNS/LES) for an Advanced Separate Flow Nozzle; #5-Evaluation of Terms in Lilley's Equation for Subsonic Jet Noise; #6-Inclusion of NearField Solid Boundary Effects into the MGB Jet Noise Code; and #7-Demonstration of a Jet Noise Predition Code other than the MGB Code. THE SOLICITATION WILL DESCRIBE THESE TASKS IN GREATER DETAIL THAN APPEARS IN THIS SYNOPSIS. [NOTE: It is anticipated that Tasks 1, 2, & 3 will result in Firm Fixed Price contracts. It is anticipated that Tasks 4, 5, 6, & 7 will result in Cost type contracts.] Some tasks may be eligible for the use of government furnished property or information. All tasks will require reports as a deliverable; some tasks may involve additional deliverables. It is anticipated that all tasks will carry a data non-disclosure restriction. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 8733 and $5 Million, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-A1. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-05. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about July 22, 1998 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about August 28, 1998. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
