NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Custom Sample Chamber per GSFC Drawing.The drawing provides overall dimensions of the chamber and locations and specifications for standard ISO clamp-flange ports. The drawing also suggests the type of door and rear end plate required. This procurement requires the vendor to complete the engineering of this chamber using standard vacuum chamber techniques. This procurement includes a welded frame stand to mount the chamber with the center of the beam inlet port 72 cm above the floor. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The anticipated release date of RFQ 663-71112-0000/922 is on or about 06/25/98 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 07/17/98. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed See Internet Note "B".
