options 4 and 5 of the, firm fixed price, Multi-Year I contract
(DAAJ09-95-C-A001) awarded to The Boeing Company on 16 Aug 96.
Premodification efforts consist of the disassembly and inspection of
aircraft for corrosion. The pre-modification contractor must repair
identified faults or the Government will replace items.
Pre-modification also prepares the airframe for the re-manufacturing
line; i.e. stripping, primer and paint. This effort includes categories
of work required prior to beginning the modification phase in
accordance with the Interface Control Document (ICD); all checks,
inspections and repairs necessary to bring the
aircraft/components/parts to the Government approved serviceability
standards; management of Government Furnished Property (GFP) for
premodification; and performance of in-process inspections and
acceptance inspections of Government Furnished aircraft which have been
pre-modified at sites other than MDHS. The period of performance is
from 1 October 1998 for Lot 4, continuing for 12 months and from 1
October 1999 for Lot 5, continuing for 12 months. The value of the
proposed effort is $22,700,000 for Lot 4 and $25,000,000 for Lot 5. See
