resource inventory to support the Army training mission at YTC. The
basic survey location consists of 1089 acres with eleven (11) optional
areas that include an additional 12,751 acres. The contractor must
complete field work before July 15, 1999. The contractor shall conduct
an inventory of prehistoric and historic cultural resources in the
basic and any government-authorized optional areas. The work shall take
place in three phases: 1. Intensive pedestrian survey, 2. Site
protection recommendations, 3. Analysis and reporting; Goals for the
study are to: a. Identify cultural resources within established survey
areas, b. Carefully assess site integrity and condition, c. Document
archeological resources within established survey areas and make
reasoned judgments of National Register eligibility, d. Develop an
assessment of site management needs, particularly site protection
needs, e. If additional cultural resource work is needed at sites,
including further NationalRegister evaluation, protection, or data
recovery, identify what work is needed and the reasons for the need, f.
Document results of survey and recommendations. Contract period is:
September 1998 through January 2000. The proposed procurement listed
here is being issued as unrestricted with a ten percent (10%) small
disadvantaged business preference as outlined in the solicitation. The
size standard is any concern including its affiliates with an average
annual sales or receipts for its preceeding three fiscal years not in
