ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEM FOR OPERATION MID-INFRARED DETECTOR ARRAYS USED BY THE EXISTING GSFC BUILT CELESTE SPECTROMETER. 2. YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE DOCUMENTATION FOR ABOVE ITEM. **THIS DOCUMENTATION MUST BE SHIPPED WITH THE ORDER.** This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The item to be acquired is nessesary to replace an existing system and must be fully compatable. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Wallace Instruments as this item is a proprietary to and only available from them. The authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
