The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate with Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Eagan Minnesota (LMTDS) on a sole source basis for a follow-on production effort of the AIP program. It is contemplated that a contract with a base year and four option years will be issued as a result of this solicitation. LMTDS is the prime integrator of the AIP program and the only source with the requisite knowledge and experience to perform this effort within the desired time frame and without a production break.
