The Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (STARS) Program Office is upgrading its Intercommunications System via a contract with the Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC). In addition to this upgrade, the Government intends to acquire 29 additional EMI Audio Presentation Upgrade retrofit kits for the Joint STARS mission crew trainer system. The Audio Presentation Retrofit Kits will create a formal change to the Transmit/Receive Audio system software. The EMI kits required must be identical to those produced by Northrop Grumman Corporation for the Joint STARS production aircraft. The software must be able to interface with all system hardware and associated systems software. The effort shall include, but is not limited to all engineering, program management, configuration control, equipment production, and quality assurance. The Government anticipates an 11 September 1998 contract award date. The kits must be ready for fielding within 60 days of contract award. Interested sources must submit responses within 15 days of publication of this notice. Responses should include information regarding the capabilities of the firm to accomplish this work.
