FLUE GAS DESULFURIZATION DEMONSTRATION IN CHINA Southern Research Instititue (SRI), under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, seeks statement of capabilities of qualified companies for teaming to assist flue gas desulfurization, or combined NOx and SO2 capture, in China. SRI is seeking a technology par6tner to demonstrate, improve, and test in China. The funding requires that the partner be a U.S. based firm (chartered or incorporated in the U.S., its possessions, Puerto Rico, or any other place subject to U.S. jurisdiction). The timing requires that the partner have an existing contract to install desulfurization equipment in a coal fired unit in China. Capability statements should include: (1) description of past experience in desulfurization domestically and internationally; (2) certification as to being U.S. based; (3)description of past (if any) and present activities in China; and (4) technical description of the desulfurization technology employed.
