NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with a contractor to provide professional services to author a follow-on companion book to "Beyond Horizons, A Half Century of Air Force Space Leadership", a book written by the proposed contractor. The term of the proposed contract is 18 months. The purpose of the contract is to create a manuscript with chapter-by-chapter narrative discussion of sources, followed by transcripts of the applicable documents and explanatory notes as necessary. Emphasis will be on the collection of key documents, but the text will also include bibliographic comment on why the documents are significant. The proposed contractor has unique personal knowledge applicable to the proposed contract as a direct result of having researched and written the initial book.
