requirement supportive of the Occupational Safety and Health
Administration to assess the benefits, technological and financial
feasibility, and economic impact of proposed health and safety
regulations and their alternatives. In addition, the Contractor will be
required to determine the potential for significant environmental
impacts external to the workplace as a result of an OSHA regulatory
action. All work will be performed on a labor-hour basis under written
task orders. The Department anticipates that it will make several
awards, and those contracts will go into effect in the early part of
January,1999. Vendors must submit written requests for the
solicitation, and those requests must reference the solicitation
number, RFP L/A 98-21. Requests may be faxed to (202) 219-6853. Please
do not submit a duplicate request through the mail. The Government
will consider proposals from all responsible vendors. This is a partial
small business set aside, with a maximum of two awards being set aside.
The SIC code and size standard applicable to the set-aside are 8732 and
