GSA's National Furniture Center intends to issued a continuous open season solicitation for Multiple Award Schedule 72, Part I, Section A for Carpet, Carpet Tile, Cushion, Resilient Flooring -- Vinyl, Rubber Tile, Sheet Goods, Mats & Matting (with & without logos) on or about July 8, 1998. This schedule solicitation will consolidate schedules 72, Part I, Section B and 72 Part I Section E under 72, Part I, Section A. ALL REQUIRED TESTING MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR OFFER. Preaward testing must be submitted for Special Item Numbers (SINs) 31-1 -- 31-16b, and test results must be dated no earlier than 60 calendar days prior to submission. All Mats & Matting with carpet-like apperance shall meet the flammability regulation DOC-FF-l-70 (Pill Test). Items that are offered under SIN 31-205 requires static generation (AATCC 134), and static resistance (NFPA 99) test. Test results will be reviewed to determine if they are complete, accurate and show passing results for all required tests. Offers will be notified of the results of this review, and will be given 30 calendar days to make any necessary corrections. In order to accommodate offers for new or improved product, the Introduction of New Products (INP) SIN 31-999 has been added to his schedule. For worldwide coverage, SIN 31-998, Worldwide International products have been added for foreign destinations. This Federal Supply Schedule will have a continuous schedule period without a beginning and ending date. Contract periods will commence on the date of award (DOA) and expire in five years (exclusive of any options). This solicitation will become a "standing" opportunity for new offers, and new offers may be forwarded any any time. Identical band name items will be awarded when offers are determined to be fair and reasonable to the Government. Contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation will be indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity.
