This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation No. 1425-98-SQ-11-00070 issued as a Request for Quotations and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The size standard is 100 employees and the SIC Code is 3448. The Bureau of Reclamation, Black Canyon Dam facility has a fixed price requirement for furnishing and delivery of the following materials: The following is a summary of building requirements and specifications: Intended use: Vehicle and maintenance equipment storage. Dimensions: 30 ft x 120 ft (both buildings) Eave height: 16 ft with ten 12 ft wide by 14 ft high clear opening (one building) 12 ft with twelve 10 ft wide by 10 ft high clear opening (one building) Roof slope: 1:12 minimum (pre-engineered steel building) 1:3 max (pre-manufactured wood truss roof with metal roof) Design Requirements: 30 psf live load, 80 mph wind load Roof and siding material (backside and both ends) 26 ga. iron with baked enamel with beige or light tan color for pre-engineered all steel building. For wood frams structure -- 29 ga. iron with similar color coating is acceptable providing design requirements are met. One standard size personal access steel walk-in door on back center of building. If standard pre-engineered steel building is provided, bay spacing will be 25 foot for the 16 ft high eave building and 20 foot for the 12 ft high eave building. If a wood frame structure is provided instead of an all steel building, then pre-manufactured trusses with 2" by 6" purlins @ 18" o.c., 2" by 6" girts @ 2' o.c. on the walls, or equivalent (2" by 8" purlins @ 24" o.c.) and 6" by 6" rough cut pressure treated posts shall be used. Timing: All materials shall be delivered on site to Black Canyon Dam near Emmett, Idaho by September 15, 1998 for installation by others. Also to be included is certification that the roof and building will meet the above specified design requirements to meet local building codes.
