This is a resolicitation of an 8(a) competitive procurement, formerly issued under invitation for bid number DACA51-98-B-0018. That procurement has been cancelled. All contractors who responded to the cancelled procurement are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. This solicitation is now UNRESTRICTED. The project description is as follows. Construct a standard design 3-bay, two-company satellite fire station. Primary facilities to include apparatus room, dayroom/dining area, kitchen, shift leader office, decontamination room, administration supply, communications area, dormitory rooms for nine firefighters, physical training room, male/female and handicapped toilet areas, laundry room, hose dryer, storage areas, and mechanical equipment rooms. Heating will be provided by self-contained gas fired units. Air conditioning is estimated at 15 tons. This system will have fire and security systems. The apparatus room will be equipped with a vehicle exhaust system. Supporting facilities include utility services, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, site improvements, and communications systems. Access for the handicapped will be provided in the administrative functions area only. The SIC code is 1542. Estimated construction costs are between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
