perform Drydock repairs including, but not limited to the following
Minimum Items: 1) Renew Rub Railing 2) Remove and Reinstall Propeller.
3) Renew #2 Raw Water Strainer. 4) Clean and Inspect Heat Exchangers.
5) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves. 6) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall
Rudder Assembly. 7) Disassemble and Inspect the Bow Thruster. 8)
Overhaul Anchor Windlass Assembly. 9) Overhaul Anchor(s) and Anchor
Chain(s) 10) Inspect, Overhaul and Test Roller Chocks. 10) Test Pad
Eyes and Links. 11) Preserve Bilges. 12) Preserve Chain Locker. 13)
Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s).
14) Preserve Freeboard. 15) Preserve Interior Bulwarks and Forward Buoy
Deck Bulkhead. 16) Preserve Potable Water Tanks. 17) Renew Deck
Coverings. 18) Provide Temporary Messing. 19) Provide Temporary
Berthing. 20) Refurbish Scullery. 21) Provide Temporary Logistics. 22)
Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items Include, but not limited to the
following: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall
Propeller Shaft. 3) Perform Minor Repair and Reconditioning of
Propeller. 4) Renew Rudder Pintle Bushings. 5) Preserve Underwater
Body. 6) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics. Vessel availability
schedule is 12 October 98 for 42 days. Vessel's homeport is Charleston
S.C. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the
form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast
Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or after July 22, 1998. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. Attention: Minority, Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working
capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts
