Eglin AFB has a requirement to Repair Running Track, Eglin AFB FL. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operation in connection with Repairing Running Track, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work consists of removing existing bituminous curb around the inner and outer perimeter of the existing cinder running track; Removing the existing cinder/clay mixture from the running track; Regarding the existing track and immediate areas up to 20 feet around the outside edge of the track; Installing a draining channel/swale around the inside perimeter of the track; Placing a 4" compacted aggregate base course with a 2" asphalt binder/leveling course; Surfacing the 400 meter, 21 foot wide asphalt base with a high viscosity latex running surface. Contract will be for a period of 120 calendar days. Bid open of 28 Aug 98 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
