The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a need for 3400 tons GA DOT #57 stone; hauled and tailgate spread. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation identified as 8-3-98-24 is issued as a request for quotations. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Line Item 01: 1600 ton #57 stone, hauled and tailgate spread along 2.1 miles of Stover Creek Road southwest of Dalton, GA. Line Item 02: 1800 ton #57 stone, hauled and tailgate spread along 4.6 miles of East Cowpen Road FS 51, northeast of Chatsworth, GA. Stone must come from GA DOT certified quarry. DELIVERY: All deliveries are to be made during the period of July 27, 1998 thru August 14, 1998: Stover Creek Road 7/27/98 -- 8/7/98; East Cowpen Road FS #51 8/3/98 -- 8/14/98.
